Description
Edwin Tangarife is a young musician with a great interest in folk music and contemporary proposals. He recently won the Katarina Gurska Foundation's Artistic Talent Award and was awarded a scholarship to study at the CSKG. He has also been awarded prizes in several international guitar competitions, among which stand out the first prize in the International Guitar Competition of Madrid in 2024 and the second prize in the XI International Guitar Competition Alhambra Junior in Valencia, as well as the first prize in the International Guitar Competition of Paracho (Mexico) in 2022, among others. He has also taken part in festivals in Colombia, Mexico and Spain and has attended master classes given by masters from Colombia, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, Russia, Venezuela and Cuba. He has also participated in festivals such as the Cali International Guitar Orchestras Festival in Cali on 3 occasions and the International Guitar Festival in Mexico City in 2018.
