Do you enjoy making videos for TikTok, Instagram or YouTube shorts? Whether you're acting out comedy skits, making short films or mini-documentaries, want to know how to take your filmmaking and production to next level? In this hands-on workshop, we’ll dive into current trends and what makes great engaging videos, to tips and tricks for recording and using the app inShot. Learn how to create effective short videos for little or no cost using just your mobile phone, and understand the fundamentals of development and scripting, planning and preparation for shooting, and postproduction without the need for expensive editing software or hardware. Format: In-person. Mixture of in class learning and practical workshop. WHAT YOU GET By the end of the course, you’ll have a better understanding of short-form video, the production process and be confident to create video content that will resonate with your audience. And you’ll: - Learn how to shoot videos on your device, including b-roll, framing and angles. - Follow a brief, write a script and create storyboards. - Complete post-production effectively by adding text, transitions, music and more. - Develop the content for your video, considering the purpose and your intended audience. - Engage in critical discussions around short-form video emphasising its potential for transforming into a profession or job.
