Jacintha is a Singaporean jazz and torch singer whose warm, intimate vocal style has earned her a devoted following across Asia and North America. Emerging in the 1980s as both a recording artist and stage actress, she gained international recognition through her work with Groove Note Records, the Los Angeles–based label known for its audiophile-quality releases.
She has recorded several acclaimed albums with Groove Note, including Lush Life (2002), Jacintha Is Her Name (2003), The Girl from Bossa Nova (2004), and Jacintha Goes to Hollywood (2007), each praised for their pristine sound and refined interpretations of jazz standards.
Known for her smoky tone and understated phrasing, Jacintha draws from influences such as Julie London and Astrud Gilberto, delivering timeless readings of jazz, bossa nova, and film classics with elegance and emotional clarity.
8 & 9 May - Sarah Chew
Sarah Chew is a Singaporean jazz vocalist known for her expressive tone, fluid improvisation, and refined musical sensitivity. An alumna of the Esplanade’s Mosaic Jazz Fellows programme, she is active within Singapore’s contemporary jazz scene.
She has performed at major platforms including the Mosaic Jazz Festival, Singapore Night Festival, Singapore Festival of the Arts, and Jeremy Monteiro’s Jazzy Christmas (2021), as well as BNY presents Jazz Live! (2022). From 2022 to 2025, she worked with established jazz musicians in Pittsburgh, strengthening her improvisational approach and musical dialogue.
15 & 16 May - Nancy Ponto
Nancy Ponto is a versatile vocalist known for her expressive tone and emotional depth. She first gained national recognition on The Voice Indonesia Season 2 (2016), where she rose to become a Top 10 Finalist under Team Ari Lasso, earning praise for her distinctive vocal colour and heartfelt interpretations throughout the competition.
Since then, she has continued to refine her artistry across a range of musical settings, developing a contemporary style grounded in strong vocal storytelling. Her performances reflect clarity, nuance, and sincerity, allowing her to connect meaningfully with audiences in both intimate and larger live settings.
22 & 23 May - Dasha Logan
Dasha Logan is a Malaysian jazz vocalist known for her rich tone, refined phrasing, and understated musical elegance. Born in Penang into a musical family, she grew up with a deep sensitivity to live performance and jazz expression.
She has performed extensively within Malaysia’s jazz circuit at venues such as No Black Tie, Bobo, and Alexis, where her approach is defined by restraint, space, and emotional control. In 2014, her debut single “Cleverly” reached No. 1 on the UK Soul Chart, marking a key milestone in her international recognition.
29 & 30 May - James Flynn
James Flynn is an international jazz vocalist and band leader with over three decades of experience across Europe, Asia, and Australia. Originally from Scotland and based in Western Australia, he is grounded in classic jazz vocal tradition.
His career includes appearances at major jazz festivals worldwide, touring and performing with the late Ray Charles and Demis Roussos, and featured solo work with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed at the Singapore International Jazz Festival and Sing Jazz, as well as the Dave Koz Cruise with The Summer Horns ensemble.
