Description
Fanny is an artist on an insatiable quest. In 2019, at the end of her training in political ecology at Sciences-Po Paris, she dives into the Byzantine and Syriac repertoire for several years. At the same time, she became interested in performative vocal research with Haim Isaacs of the Roy Hart Theatre. These two seemingly antagonistic approaches gave rise to "Du Fond des Âges", a concert-performance featuring sacred songs from the East. Fanny sings a cappella in Aramaic, ancient Greek and Arabic. Inspired by her experience as a shepherdess in the Hautes-Alpes, this solo incorporates archaic images of the tree-woman, the wolf-woman and the English-woman. Visiting electro and contemporary musicians have shared the stage with her (Benjamin Colin, Julien Boudart, Patricio Lisboa, Michel Thouseau, Matthieu Reynaud,) Since 2020, Fanny has performed over 150 times, in heritage venues as well as contemporary music research centers. Always insatiable, Fanny is now opening a new chapter by turning to composition. She writes and sets her poems to music in French.
