The museum presents a narrative where each civilization is portrayed through its approach to combating disease and seeking cures and pain relief, from the earliest traces of life on Earth to the present day. Among the reconstructions and recreations, you will find an Egyptian sarcophagus, a Black Death medical suit, and many others—this is undoubtedly a Portuguese pharmacy!
