Born the very same year, Bach and Handel were parallel masters of the Baroque era and the programme of this special evening aims to showcase their sparkling choral and instrumental works. Alongside this, you will enjoy compositions by the Prussian princess Wilhelmine von Bayreuth and two motets by Mendelssohn - the leading German Romantic composer credited with reviving Bach’s works for nineteenth century audiences and rekindling their enduring fame.
