Description
Transport yourself to the early 20th century and relive your favorite memories and nostalgia of the costumes of Downton Abbey™. The British television series explores the lives of its aristocratic inhabitants and their servants – together with the latest fashion trends. Through 35 bespoke costumes created for the series, the exhibition presents a fashion history of the period surrounding World War I, a period that changed the social fabric of Great Britain. A fine selection from the series’ wardrobe, including accessories and mannequins, reflects on the changing times through fashion from 1912 to the mid-1920s. Don’t miss this closer look into the award-winning costumes!
*The exhibition is developed and distributed by Exhibits Development Group in cooperation with Cosprop Ltd., London, England. 💬 Libby - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "It was wonderful. We could see the costumes up closely and admire the details and workmanship. The setting of the 19th century Charles Allis was spot on to feature this exhibition."
💬 Ellen - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "A beautiful lovely experience. I would go every week if I could. Thank you for having this."
💬 Abigail - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Seeing all of the outfits featured in person was really neat! The way they were displayed around the house was done very well. It allowed for the beauty of the house, its art and the costumes to really shine. I will definitely be going back in the future. Thank you for this opportunity!"
