Description
Bring your broken porcelain and join Azumi Uchitani in this healing workshop exploring the traditional art of Kintsugi. Originating from Japan, Kintsugi was invented when artisans began using gold pigment to put shattered vessels back together. Gain insights into the profound philosophy behind the art form, as you’re guided step by step to transform what was once broken into an object more beautiful than ever. Emphasise the vulnerabilities of the porcelain as you apply gold and silver dust glue to the broken elements, creating a striking network of shining scars. After this session, you will have your broken object transformed and feel the healing effects of embracing the imperfect.
