Description
The Musée de l 'Armée de Paris is one of the three largest weapons museums in the world. It houses one of the largest collections on the planet combining military history and art. In the Musée de l'Artillerie, you'll discover a permanent collection of artillery pieces dating back to the French Revolution. The Dôme des Invalides, which contains the tomb of Napoleon I, was built between 1677 and 1706, and its golden dome rises over 110 meters into the Parisian sky. In the ancient department, you'll discover pieces associated with key figures in French history, from François I to Louis XIII, allowing you to imagine what warfare might have been like in days gone by. In the Modern Department, you will get the chance to relive some of history's bloodiest battles and get a sense of what life was like for soldiers' at that time.
