Description
Duke Ellington is a pillar of modern music. As Miles Davis put it “At least one day out of the year all musicians should just put down their instruments, and give thanks to Duke Ellington.” This fall, Jazz by Candlelight invites you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the musical history of one of the most influential and acclaimed composers of all time while a group of elite Dallas jazz musicians sing and play through the most beloved songs of Ellington's career. Bathed in a room lit by candlelight, prepare to be transported to the perfect backdrop for an evening of hard swing, achingly romantic ballads, and toe-tapping barnburners. It's a night of timeless music that you’ll be thinking about for a long time!
