Marmorbroen

Marmorbroen, completed in 1745, is a late-Baroque marble bridge spanning Frederiksholms Kanal in Copenhagen. Designed by architect Nicolai Eigtved, it features Norwegian marble paving atop Saxon sandstone construction. Ornamental medallions of a male and female figure adorn its arches, reflecting the grandeur of the original Christiansborg Palace, which once stood beyond this elegant connector to Slotsholmen.
