Chiesa Anglicana Holy Cross Palermo

The Church of the "Holy Cross" (Santa Croce), the only Anglican place of worship from the 19th century in Palermo, was designed by architect William Barbel with the initiative and financial contribution of Joseph Witaker and Benjamin Ingam Junior. Built between 1871 and 1875, the church stands out for its unique architecture and decorations, in a fascinating combination of simplicity and richness, between Gothic and Byzantine styles.
