Palácio de São Bento / Assembly of the Republic
The Portuguese Assembly of the Republic is located in the Palácio de São Bento in Lisbon. A former Benedictine monastery, the palace has been the seat of the Portuguese parliament since 1834. It exercises legislative powers and oversight over the government and budget.
