Description
The Frida Cinema teams up with HorrorBuzz to present Stanley Kubrick’s 1970 horror classic, The Shining! In this 1980 adaptation of Stephen King’s 1977 bestseller, Jack Nicholson delivers one of his most unhinged and iconic performances as Jack Torrance, a struggling writer who takes a job as the winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in Colorado. He settles in along with his wife Wendy (Shelley Duvall) and his son Danny (Danny Lloyd), who is plagued by psychic premonitions that only get worse the more time he spends at the creepy hotel. As Jack’s writing goes nowhere and Danny’s visions become more disturbing, Jack discovers the hotel’s dark secrets and begins to unravel into a homicidal maniac hellbent on terrorizing his family.
