    Description
The AKC Museum of the Dog preserves, interprets, and celebrates the role of dogs in society through a collection of art and exhibits that inspire engagement with dogs. Located in the iconic Kalikow building, the Museum offers rotating exhibits featuring objects from its 1,700-piece collection and 4,000-volume library. Their new exhibition examines the history of dogs on filmโ€”from the genesis of the medium all the way through the โ€œGolden Age of Hollywood Dogsโ€โ€”and features original movie posters, a celluloid from All Dogs Go to Heaven, original storyboards from Peanuts comic strips, and more. Peruse the collection and admire canine-related fine art and objects such as trophies, collars and many other dog-related works.
