Description
The AKC Museum of the Dog preserves, interprets, and celebrates the role of dogs in society through a collection of art and exhibits that inspire engagement with dogs. Located in the iconic Kalikow building, the Museum offers rotating exhibits featuring objects from its 1,700-piece collection and 4,000-volume library. Their new exhibition examines the history of dogs on film—from the genesis of the medium all the way through the “Golden Age of Hollywood Dogs”—and features original movie posters, a celluloid from All Dogs Go to Heaven, original storyboards from Peanuts comic strips, and more. Peruse the collection and admire canine-related fine art and objects such as trophies, collars and many other dog-related works.
