Italian Happy Hour

Overview: Discover the treasures of Little Italy on a three-hour insider tour with a local Italian guide. Experience top attractions like Our Lady of the Rosary, Amici Park and other neighborhood gems as quaint cafes, boutique shops and piazzas (open squares). As you walk, you'll learn the the historic roots of this contemporary neighborhood and you'll finish with an authentic Italian meal: bruschetta, pizza, gelato and wine!

• 5 pm: Meet at the fountain in Piazza della Famiglia (corner of Columbia & Date Streets) for an introduction to Little Italy, one of only a few Italian neighborhoods left in the United States. You will learn the history of the Italian immigrant community of San Diego.
• Walk to Our Lady of the Rosary, Amici Park and Piazza Basilone.
• 5:45 pm: Arrive at Chef Marty's favorite "pizzeria" to create your own "bruschetta," watch the Master Pizza Chef create your pizza, sip a glass of wine, and finish your dinner with a homemade "gelato!"
• 7:45 pm: Walk to a bustling Italian Deli and survey the imported Italian products.
