Cakeland LA's "The Beauty War" is an immersive art installation that is part hall of mirrors, part dark ride, part cake infinity wonderland. With the creator's hopes of inspiring a generation of food-themed immersive experiences in mind, "The Beauty War" presents a direct challenge and intellectually responsible alternative to LA’s "pop-up" culture. Its contrasting labyrinth of rooms holds allegorical references to the universal archetypes we all traverse: from birth, independence, and fear of the unknown to personal actualization, spiritual illumination, and death. This art experience is wild, inspiring, delicious-looking, kaleidoscopic, and makes for some jaw-dropping photos too!
