The Wines
2019 Rooftop Reds Grüner Veltliner
This grape hails from the hills of Austria and is known to favor cool climate areas like our vineyards in upstate New York. Grüner is known for having notes of white pepper as well as intense minerality. This vintage has beautiful hints of fresh citrus with a slightly rounded mouthfeel.

Rooftop Reds Crooked Lake
This beautiful red blend is made up of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. The name speaks to a nickname for Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes wine region, where our sister winery, Point of the Bluff is located. This bottle of red has subtle tannins and notes of tobacco and dark fruit, and it goes with absolutely everything.

👤 Age requirement: 21+ with valid ID. You will have to show your ID when the wines are delivered.
👉During the week before the tasting, a Wine In box with the two wines for the experience will be delivered to your house

They introduced the world’s first commercially viable urban rooftop vineyard us NYC and their mission is an ambitious one - they’re planting the seeds for a new generation of wine enthusiasts. The Brooklyn Navy Yard might not be exactly what comes to mind when envisioning a terroir that is suitable for viticulture. But with the help of Finger Lakes industry leaders and Cornell University, they have developed an urban planter system that is the first of its kind. Rooftop Reds grows 168 red Bordeaux variety grapevines in 42 state-of-the-art planters to fill our 14,800 square-foot rooftop. Far from just being “wine lovers”, they go above and beyond. With their trusted wine expert, you’ll enjoy two gorgeous bottles of red that’ll be delivered straight to your doorstep. Your sommelier will take you through each bottle in a fun and casual way - all you have to do is pour, say cheers and get sipping!
