Marcela Onyango became disillusioned by politics and sought comedy as an opportunity to discuss serious topics and frankly just complain about how terrible everything is. Featured in the Black Women in Comedy Festival,The Laughing Devil Cup Festival, Slackjaw, and the New York Times, she is currently an actor in the Armory’s House Sketch team Above Ground Pool. Mariah Harrie Fisher (Night of 1,000 Carries) is a drag-comedian, also known as comedian Taha Rakla. Like his hero Carrie Fisher, Taha enjoys being completely transparent, talking about their mental illnesses, and embraces people judging him.
