Description
The Michael Haydn Orchestra is proud to announce their most ambitious concept programme yet: 'Jupiter 1788'! Go on a journey back in time to Vienna on the brink of war with the Turkish Empire during the year 1788, the year in which the 'Jupiter' symphony was composed. Follow Mozart's footsteps: see his position regarding the war through his war songs, listen to the music he wrote for his new job as imperial composer of chamber music for the Emperor Joseph II, listen to the music by Michael Haydn that Mozart kept in his library, and listen to the music he conducted in a public performance by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. It will surely be a revelation!
