As a part of their Anime Buffet series, Secret Movie Club are showing Satoshi Konās Perfect Blue. This showing dares to fully to commit to a hard R rated anime that intentionally focuses on the uncomfortable, messy dark recesses of the human psyche. Unlike Paprika, with itās almost high concept sci-fi hook, Perfect Blue veers much more towards a kind of David Lynch Mulholland Drive dive into celebrity, fandom, and psychological instability.
