Experience Description
We all have our guilty pleasures: some of us are self-proclaimed 'chocoholics', others are uncontrollable 'shopaholics', and many of us can't deny that we've caved into a TV binge more than once. These could all be considered varying levels of addiction, and even exhibit similar symptoms as more severe addictions to drugs or sex. In this talk, you'll learn what causes a person to develop an uncontrollable addiction - of any and all kinds - and you'll learn to spot the signs that indicate whether you have developed one yourself. Don't worry if the answer is yes: John Marsden will delve into the inner workings of the mind to teach you how to cope with certain addictions and regain control of your habits!
