Description
This yearβs edition of NYC Winter Jazzfest will see four upcoming UK jazz acts perform at Le Poisson Rouge. This yearβs acts include. Kokoroko, Moses Boyd, Poppy Ajudha and Sarathy Korwar. Celebrating Detroitβs jazz history and the legacy of late trumpeter Marcus Belgrave, the evening begins with a conversation led by author and historian Mark Stryker on the rich history of Detroit Jazz. Youβll get to see and hear the likes of Ron Carter, Louis Hayes and Sheila Jordan joined with Detroit-born pianist Johnny OβNeal. Marcus Belgraveβs protΓ©gΓ©s will be closing the festival once again, in the ensemble βTaking it Forwardβ with Robert Hurst, Karriem Riggins, Ali Jackson, JD Allen, Dwight Adams, Theo Croker, Greg Glassman, Kevin Sholar, and joined by Kassa Overall!
