Description
Uncle Vanya premiered at the Moscow Art Theatre in 1899. After 120 years, the show is still widely performed and considered one of Chekovβs greatest works. The story focuses on a family which, though generally separated by distance, comes together at the country estate managed by the titular Uncle Vanya. When the owner of the estate, Vanyaβs brother-in-law, arrives with his much younger wife in tow, things in the insular rural community begin to change.
