Description
Following the successful cooperation between the Hannover and Castelfranco Veneto conservatories last year, a one-week singing workshop for 15 students from both institutions will take place again this February, ending with a joint concert.
The programme is being developed at the conservatoire in Castelfranco, which is dedicated to the Hanover-based composer, bishop and diplomat Agostino Steffani. Steffani was born in Castelfranco Veneto in 1654. The Conservatorio di Musica there consequently also has a focus on the music of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The programme includes Venetian opera arias from the 17th century as well as excerpts from the operas of A. Steffani and A. Scarlatti. The young vocal students, most of whom are close to graduating, are accompanied by the Hanover ensemble MUSICA ALTA RIPA. The audience has the chance to experience the great range and outstanding quality of the young singers in an entertaining opera evening full of passion.
