Description
Learn the beautiful art of bundle dyeing! In this hour and a half workshop led by Molly George, you will gain an understanding of how to extract color from natural flowers and plants to dye your very own silk scarves! You’ll learn about the natural dyestuffs including various dried and fresh flowers, onion skins, turmeric, cochineal, black tea, pomegranate skins and more! You’ll bundle dye on silk, prepare the fabric, place the dyestuffs, bundle the fabric to create beautiful patterns, and steam the fabric. Seeing as Molly George is a Brooklyn based textile artist and educator and has been studying textile arts for the past 5 years - you’ll be in great hands!
