Description
Stockholm Chamber Brass is now considered one of the most brilliant, world-leading brass quintets. Since its founding in 1988, the ensemble has paved the way for brass in traditional chamber music and developed new, original programmes. Over 60 compositions have been commissioned by the musicians, many of which have become the most performed original works for brass quintets worldwide.
The five outstanding musicians – Annamia Larsson on horn, Urban Agnas and Tom Poulson on trumpet, Jonas Bylund on trombone, and Dirk Hirthe on tuba – impress with a distinctive profile and the highest musical quality. Under the motto "Heavy Metal – Renaissance to Modern," the quintet presents a diverse repertoire at the Orangerie Herrenhausen: Experience skilful arrangements of old masters like Hildegard von Bingen, Francisco de la Torres, and Carlo Gesualdo combined with captivating, contemporary compositions.
Look forward to a spectacular performance and brass chamber music of the highest order!
