In short About the experience

Starstruck is a shared 40-minute virtual reality experience developed with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO). Groups of up to six visitors wear lightweight wireless headsets and move freely through a fully three-dimensional digital universe, guided by a virtual host called Astro, from the Whipple Observatory to distant stars, exoplanets, the Pillars of Creation and a black hole. The visuals and storytelling are informed by real data from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Hubble Space Telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope, the Chandra X-ray Observatory and SAO research.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app, and the QR code is also in your purchase confirmation email. Log in with the same account you used to buy.

Can I change the date or get a refund?

This experience allows date changes up to 24 hours in advance, if the "Change date and/or time" button appears on your ticket in the Fever app. Refunds are not accepted under any circumstances.

Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?

Yes, free of charge: tap "Transfer tickets" on your ticket in the Fever app.

How long does the experience last?

The virtual reality experience lasts about 40 minutes. Plan for 1 hour in total, as you will need time beforehand to store your belongings and pick up the equipment.

Where does it take place?

At the Costanera Center shopping mall, Av. Andrés Bello 2425, Providencia, Santiago. We are on the ground floor, between the Jardín de Hadas and Entel stores, connected to the Tobalaba metro.

Is it indoors or outdoors?

It takes place in a closed, air-conditioned space.

Can I buy food and drinks on site?

There is no food or drink for sale inside the venue, but the mall has several restaurant options.

Is there parking?

Costanera Center has paid parking, open 24 hours, with valet service, spaces reserved for people with disabilities and pregnant women, areas for motorcycles and bicycles and electric vehicle charging stations.

What is the recommended age for children?

For headset fit and the safety of all participants, children aged 10 and over are admitted.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes, the experience takes place in a wheelchair-accessible venue.

Does it use virtual reality? Can it be uncomfortable?

Yes, with free-roaming wireless headsets. Virtual reality can cause discomfort for people with claustrophobia, vertigo or motion sickness. If you wear glasses, staff will help you fit the headset properly.
