Description
A tribute concert dedicated to José Lidón, organist of the Royal Palace of Madrid, featuring a varied and contrasting selection of his sonatas for violin, cello, and harpsichord. Lidón had at his disposal one of the most innovative organs in the world and lived during an era that preserved the ancient Spanish compositional tradition, in which Correa was an innovative participant, while also embracing the modernity of the Italian classical style. Within this context, Lidón synthesized both traditions to craft a unique personal style through novel organ forms unrivaled in Europe
