About:
Born in the United Kingdom and residing in New York for over two decades, he has made the city the center of a body of work distinguished by its powerful black-and-white language. His ability to capture the intensity and poetry of urban life has established him as one of the most relevant voices in contemporary photography. Before developing his personal projects, he built a distinguished career as a news and magazine photographer for publications such as National Geographic, Time Magazine, The Guardian, Paris Match, and The Independent. His images of September 11, 2001, are part of the permanent collection of the 9/11 Museum and Memorial, while his documentation of the lockdown in New York during the pandemic was incorporated into the United States Library of Congress. He is an international educator for Leica Akademie.
