What's on:
What it's all about:
Science shapes our lives, our culture and the world around us. The importance of our mission cannot be overstated. It was recognised by the 58 individuals who founded the Royal Institute in 1799 and is just as relevant today. The Ri collections include the original apparatus and papers of the remarkable people who have researched, lectured and lived at 21 Albemarle Street. Plus we hold important collections of books, scientific instruments, furniture and the Ri's administrative archive from 1799 to the present day.
