Description
Located in La Noria, Xochimilco, in a 16th-century colonial estate that was once a mansion and later served as a military barracks, the Dolores Olmedo Museum showcases the life and work of the Mexican businesswoman and philanthropist after whom it is named. In addition, it houses the largest collection of works by two of Mexico's most renowned artists, as well as unique pieces of Mexican art from various periods. The museum tour extends beyond the historic building to become a stroll through gardens and cultural and culinary experiences that highlight Mexico's historical and cultural heritage. - Verdadero patrimonio cultural de México. Una curaduría y colección impresionante de Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, piezas prehispánicas y más. Una lástima que haya que tolerar al público que solo va por la foto, pero ni hablar… hay que mantener vivos los museos.
- La pase muy bien y vi obras que no conocía de Diego Rivera, además muchas artesanías mexicanas que me encantan. La casa y jardines son enormes y lindos también su gran número de pavor reales. La piezas prehispánicas interesantes, y la casa muy bella y con una larga historia desde el siglo XVI.

- Está muy cuidado, hace años que voy y ahora que reabrieron se nota mucho el cambio, hay más pinturas y mucho más pavo reales . Sin duda lo recomiendo.
- El lugar está hermoso, la colección es muy amplia sobre el trabajo de Diego Rivera, obras de Frida Kahlo y colecciones de arte prehispánico. Excelente el recorrido guiado que compramos y que nos permitió entender mucho mejor todo lo que contiene el museo. Muy recomendable
