Description
During the Spring Special Open House at Kyoto International Conference Center, you can stroll through the Japanese garden and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, including the scenic views of Mount Hiei and Lake Hōjō. The garden features approximately 150 cherry trees and has become one of Kyoto's hidden cherry blossom spots. Additionally, the normally private main hall will be open to the public. This hall has hosted various international conferences, including COP3, where the Kyoto Protocol was signed. The hall is also an excellent example of post-war Japanese modernist architecture.

To complement the spring event, special menus will be available at the on-site café and restaurant. The NIWA café, managed by the famous Kyoto coffee shop "Maeda Coffee," will offer a special sakura parfait, along with meals and drinks on a terrace overlooking the Japanese garden. At The Grill restaurant, which has been serving customers since the opening in 1966, special flower-viewing bento boxes and a special lunch menu will be available for this day only. Reservations are required for some offerings.

With just a 20-minute subway ride from Kyoto Station, the venue is easily accessible. Take the opportunity to escape the city and enjoy the architecture and garden surrounded by stunning natural beauty.
