Dialogues 60+: Ageing Brazil and the World

On February 26, 2026, Unibes Cultural and the University of São Paulo hold the Aging in Brazil and the World: What's New? meeting, proposing a contemporary discussion on the transformations that have marked aging in recent decades.

The event brings together three experts to discuss topics such as work, technology, health, and social participation, considering the impacts of these changes in Brazil and other international contexts. The aim is to present longevity from multiple perspectives, reflecting on its challenges, opportunities, and new models of living and aging.

Participating in the panel are Egídio Lima Dórea, a physician and professor of Medicine, coordinator of the USP 60+ program, managing partner of Ativen, and member of USP's Human Rights Commission; Sérgio Serapião, a social entrepreneur, Ashoka Fellow, co-founder and director of Labora, and founder of the LAB60+ Movement; and Marília Duque Estrada, who holds a PhD in Communication and Consumer Practices from ESPM São Paulo, a researcher in the global ASSA – Anthropology of Smartphones & Smart Ageing study, and a founding researcher of LiteraCity, a laboratory for applied research on digital literacies, consumption, and citizenship in aging.
