Description
Live music, film, poetry, and visual art come together to make a meaningful impact on humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and celebrate the vitality of Ukrainian art worldwide. In partnership with the Canada-Ukraine Foundation and Le 9e, Noise Partout (Ellen Wieser, soprano; Jean-Christophe Lizotte, cello; and Rebecca Klassen-Wiebe, piano) is thrilled to present this one-hour benefit chamber music concert. In addition to mesmerizing music for trio by André Prévin and original arrangements of songs by Massenet and Schubert, Noise Partout will showcase the world premiere of Nightbird Lullaby by the Canadian-Ukrainian duo Anna Pidgorna (composer) and Maria Reva (writer), Ukrainian videographers Anna Shylova-Kolomiets and Oleksandr Shylov, and Ukrainian visual artist Konstantin Tereshenko.
Noise Partout would like to thank the Canada Council for the Arts, the Schevchenko Foundation, the Janine-Sutto and Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie Cultural Centres, and Le 9e for their financial support and in-kind contributions in creating and presenting Nightbird Lullaby.
