Discover the music of Metallica as you've never heard it before. In this Candlelight concert, a live string quartet reimagines the band's heaviest anthems and most haunting ballads, surrounded by the glow of hundreds of candles at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
This concert experience is a tribute. It is not associated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the artist, their heirs or their official representatives.

Doors open 45 minutes before the concert. Late entry is not permitted once the concert has started.

Seats are not numbered: they are taken on a first-come, first-served basis within the zone on your ticket.

The San Diego Society of Natural History, founded in 1874, is the oldest scientific institution in southern California and the third oldest west of the Mississippi. With 8 million specimens, award-winning exhibitions, and educational programs, we have been studying, protecting, and bringing people closer to nature for almost 150 years.

Parking
Paid parking is available in the lots around the museum: $5 to $8 for verified City of San Diego residents and $10 to $16 for non-residents, depending on the lot. The Inspiration Point lot (east side of Park Blvd.) connects to the heart of Balboa Park by free tram, and there are smaller lots next to the museum's east side and at the Carousel. Valet parking runs in front of the House of Hospitality in the Plaza de Panama (not on Mondays). Accessible parking is on the east and west sides of the building.

The venue is fully ADA accessible: the museum provides wheelchairs free of charge and has accessible parking spaces and supportive features for visitors with physical or visual disabilities.

Is there parking available?
Yes, there is paid parking. Depending on the lot, it costs $5 to $8 for verified City of San Diego residents and $10 to $16 for non-residents. Park in the Inspiration Point lot (on the east side of Park Blvd., between Presidents Way and the Balboa Park Activity Center) for easy access to the heart of Balboa Park via the free tram. There are also smaller lots nearby, including the lot next to the museum's east side and the south and north Carousel lots. Valet parking is offered in front of the House of Hospitality in the Plaza de Panama: Tuesday to Thursday 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday 5 PM to midnight, Saturday 10 AM to midnight and Sunday 10 AM to 10 PM, with no valet on Mondays. Parking for visitors with disabilities is available on the east and west sides of the building.
What are the different ticket types?
There are three zones: A, B and C. Zone A is the closest to the stage.
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
No. Tickets are not sold at the venue: all tickets must be bought through the Fever app or website before you arrive.
Can I book a ticket for my caregiver?
Guests who need assistance throughout the experience can apply for one free pass for their caregiver. You need a valid ticket before applying: once you have bought yours, contact us for more information.
Is there an age requirement?
All guests must be 8 years old or older. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Where can I find my ticket?
You'll find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app. Remember to sign in with the same method you used to buy it. Your QR code is also in your purchase confirmation email.
Can I change my ticket?
Subject to availability, you can change the date and/or time up to 48 hours before your experience starts. To do so, contact us with your ticket ID.
Are refunds allowed?
Refunds are not allowed unless you bought a flexible cancellation ticket (see below). Exchanges to another date and/or time are possible up to 48 hours before the start of the event you originally booked, subject to availability. Contact us directly to change your ticket.
What is a flexible cancellation ticket?
Available for selected events, a flexible cancellation ticket lets you ask for a refund or exchange your ticket if you decide not to attend.
When can I return my ticket?
You can cancel your flexible cancellation ticket by contacting us up to 48 hours before the experience starts. The ticket becomes non-refundable if it is transferred to another user.
What documents do I need to cancel my ticket?
None. No documentation is needed to claim your refund or exchange.
If I choose a refund, how long does it take and how will I receive it?
If you paid by credit card or PayPal, the full ticket price is credited back to that account; it can take 10 or more days to appear on your statement. If you paid with a voucher, you'll find a new voucher in the "Vouchers" section of the app. This voucher is separate from your Fever Club Wallet.
Will I get a full refund?
You'll be refunded the full ticket price, except for the 10% fee paid for the flexible ticket option.
If I choose an exchange, when will I receive the new ticket?
You'll receive a voucher for the same value as your purchase as soon as you request it. You can use it to book a new date and/or time for the same experience.
Can I exchange my ticket for a different experience?
No. An exchange voucher can only be used to book the same experience again.
How do I request my refund?
Contact us to get your ticket refunded.
Where is the experience taking place?
At the San Diego Natural History Museum, 1788 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101.
When should I arrive?
The concert lasts 60 minutes. Doors open 45 minutes before the start time on your ticket, and we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early. The performance starts promptly and doors close once it begins: late entry is not permitted under any circumstances. You can look at the museum exhibits while doors are open, but not after the performance.
Can I leave the concert room during the performance?
Yes, you can leave to use the restroom. Out of respect for the musicians and the audience, you'll be let back in during the breaks between songs.
How do I get to the venue?
Driving or rideshare is recommended.
Are food and drinks served?
Yes, food and drinks are available for purchase at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
Can I bring animals?
Animals are not allowed, except for service animals. Please contact us if you plan to bring a service animal.
Does the venue have disability access?
Yes, it is fully ADA accessible. The museum provides wheelchairs free of charge, has accessible parking spaces and offers many supportive features for visitors with physical or visual disabilities. If you have any questions, write to hello@feverup.com or contact the venue directly.
What is the policy for Candle 3-Packs bought online?
Candle 3-Packs bought online must be collected at the designated point at the venue at the time of your event. As they are tied to a specific Candlelight event date and location, Candle add-ons bought online and picked up on site are non-refundable and non-returnable. All sales are final.
Are the candles real? Are they flammable?
For everyone's safety, the candles are LED: they recreate the glow of a flame without real fire, so they don't burn and pose no risk.
Can I take photos or record videos? Can I use my phone during the performance?
Please keep your phone on silent throughout the performance. Photos and videos are only allowed when the musicians say so, and always without flash.
Is there a dress code? What should I wear?
There is no dress code. We recommend dressing comfortably, in clothes suited to the season.
How are seats assigned? Can we sit together?
Seats are not numbered: they are assigned on arrival, first come first served, within the zone you purchased. To sit together, your whole group needs to arrive at the same time with tickets for the same zone.
