Herman Düne says that his latest album, Odysseús, was born when he found himself stuck in Montreal during the pandemic. During those days when he was the only guest at a hotel in the Jewish-Italian neighborhood of Mile End, he prayed to return to his home in Los Angeles with his wife and three cats. “I found myself caught between two worlds,” he says. It's a beautiful paradox: the author of such welcoming albums as Not on Top and Giant (released when Herman Düne was still a duo and not David-Ivar Herman Düne's solo project) found himself forced away from home with Odysseús. Herman Düne may remember those days with the epic grandeur of a Greek epic, but the truth is that Odysseus is a charming and light folk-pop work that seems made to put your daily life into perspective. Herman Düne will present it on March 1 in Madrid (Sala Villanos) and March 3 in Barcelona (L'Auditori - Sit Back Cycle) as part of a tour of the Iberian Peninsula that will also pass through Donostia (February 25, Teatro Principal) and Lisbon (February 27, Casa Capitao).
