Although the real story behind the title of Humour’s debut album relates to the singer’s interest in connecting with his Hellenic roots, listening to the record might make you think this Scottish band is simply exploring new disciplines after studying and mastering all branches of underground rock from the past fifty years. This explains the mastery of Andreas Christodoulidis, Ross Patrizio, Jack Lyall, Ruairidh Smith, and Lewis Doig in blending post-punk, grunge, post-hardcore, and even screamo. They planted the seeds of the band in 2021, with the world still partly paralyzed by the pandemic.
