Although the real story behind Humour’s debut album title is the singer’s interest in connecting with his Hellenic roots, listening to the album might make it seem like this Scottish band is simply exploring new disciplines after studying and mastering all the branches of underground rock from the last fifty years. This explains the skill of Andreas Christodoulidis, Ross Patrizio, Jack Lyall, Ruairidh Smith, and Lewis Doig in weaving together post-punk, grunge, post-hardcore, and even screamo. The band planted its seeds in 2021, with the world still partially paralyzed by the pandemic.
