Grove Street Stompers Jazz

Grove Street Stompers Jazz

The Grove Street Stompers have performed at the tavern every Monday night for more than 40 years. Formed in 1959 by band leader and piano player Bill Dunham, this fabulous group’s repertoire includes samples of Dixieland, New Orleans and swing styles with tunes made famous by such greats as Bix, Louies and Jelly Roll. Many great jazz musicians sat in with the Stompers over the years - Pete Fountain, Wild Bill Davison, Tony Parenti, Bob Wilbur, and singers Barbara Lea and Laurel Watson. Check out the Stompers three CDs and LP records on the Village Record label.
