Live Aid 40

40 YEARS AGO, THE WORLD CAME TOGETHER THROUGH MUSIC TO FIGHT FAMINE IN AFRICA. LIVE AID WAS MORE THAN A CONCERT – IT WAS A GLOBAL CALL TO ACTION.

On October 30th, 2025, Montreal will pay tribute to that legacy with a special anniversary concert at Le 9e, featuring iconic songs from the 1985 show, including music by U2, Bob Dylan, Dire Straits, Simple Minds, Elton John, Queen, and many others.
The house band will be joined by a lineup of prestigious artists, including Frank Marino and Josh Trager (Mahogany Rush), Jake Clemons (E Street Band), Tim Kingsbury (Arcade Fire), Steve Hill, Shane Murphy, Howard Bilerman, Jonas, Dawn Tyler Watson, and many other local legends.
While progress has been made, the fight against hunger is far from over. Today, more than 45 million children suffer from severe malnutrition, and recent cuts in global aid have put millions more at risk.
All proceeds from Live Aid 40 will go to MotherFood International, a Montreal-based non-profit organization that helps women entrepreneurs in vulnerable regions produce and distribute fortified foods adapted to their cultures.
