The Cortège: A Live Theatrical Performance With Music, Movement & Spectacle

Step inside a work of art that merges mythic pageantry, cutting-edge technology, and breathtaking performance. The Cortège is not just a show — it is a collective rite of passage. Occurring outdoors at dusk, this first-of-its-kind theater experience marks the end of one era and announces the dawn of another through movement, sound, costume, and spectacle. In an era defined by disconnection and cultural upheaval, The Cortège offers a rare space for solace, celebration, and renewal.

HIGHLIGHTS

Pre-Show
Begin the evening in the open air with food, drink, and live global sounds.

The Procession
Experience a wordless procession featuring movement, music, and mythic spectacle.

• Choreographed movement rooted in street styles, featuring global hip hop dance battle talent including MiYU and Capjay
• Cinematic score transmitted via headset featuring original music by Boreta, TOKiMONSTA, and El Búho
• Archetypal costuming and puppetry with works by Jonny Cota, Damselfrau, and Spencer Hansen
• Elements of technology including drone apparitions designed by Studio Hock and flown by Nova Sky Stories and quadruped robotics
• Participatory procession featuring large-scale puppetry and dancing

Beyond
The journey of The Cortège culminates in the Beyond, taking place in the Afterlife Tent - a communal space where the emotional catharsis of the procession finds its resolution.

Dates: Every Thursday - Sunday from September 11 - September 28
Location: The Field at Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside Dr, Burbank, CA
Time: Please note there is no late entry. We suggest arriving by 7:30 PM

• 6:30 PM: Doors Open
• 8:00 PM: Procession begins

Duration: Approximately 3 hours.
Age requirement: The show is best suited for guests who are comfortable sitting through a 60-minute performance and engaging with mature themes. Not recommended for guests under 7.Parental guidance is recommended.
Attire: The experience unfolds outdoors at dusk, on grass. Please dress in layers for shifting temperatures and wear flat shoes for comfort.
Bags: Oversized bags (i.e. backpacks, suitcases, large purses, camelbacks, etc.) are prohibited. Small bags are permitted. Please consult FAQs for specifics.

SEATING ARRANGEMENTS

Field Seats offer open seating directly on the lawn. All field seats include backrests.
Chair Seats offer open seating in individual chairs, elevated above field seats.
VIP Experience provides exclusive lounge-style seating on an elevated terrace at center field, and includes complimentary parking, a dedicated entry line, and a curated basket for your group. Available for groups of 2 or 6.
