Description
In 1928, a young Lorca came across a newspaper article about a real crime that had occurred in Níjar (Almería), where a woman named Francisca Cañada had run away from home with her boyfriend, an event that ended in tragedy. Years later, Lorca transformed this story into Blood Wedding, a tragedy in three acts in which a bride, on her wedding day, runs away with her former lover, Leonardo, her fate already sealed.
