Love and pain: two realms that constantly collide and converge in her music, sometimes in harmony, more often in friction. That contrast is the pure essence of her sonic aesthetic, developed and enriched over more than five years, during which Williams has always had one foot in beauty and the other in anguish. At times, she embodies a gothic folk singer-songwriter, like a darker mirror image of Cat Power; other times, she leads a full-blown metal ambush. But always with intensity at its peak; whether it’s about love or pain. She will perform on February 12th at Sala Villanos in Madrid.
