Description
Yerma is one of Federico García Lorca's most powerful and moving works, which portrays with poetry and rawness the suffering of a woman who longs to be a mother in a closed and oppressive environment. In this version directed by Paloma Mejía, the tragic poem comes to life through a staging rich in symbolism, light, music and movement that enhances every word and every silence. The company manages to immerse the spectator in Lorca's universe, amplifying the emotions and internal conflicts of its characters, especially those of Yerma, whose voice resounds with force: "There are things locked behind walls that if they suddenly came out into the street and shouted, they would fill the world".
