🎬 Bob Dylan made a name for himself in the folk world at a very young age with his acoustic versions. So when in 1965, at the Newport Folk Festival, he decided to plug in an electric guitar and use it in his concert, it was a blow to folk purists who saw the future of the genre in the young man. From that moment on, Dylan's life changed profoundly. He was attacked by a large group of folk followers who branded him a traitor, causing his career to never be the same again. That concert was key, he declared himself as an independent musician and it was the beginning of the voice of a generation.
