The San Diego Society of Natural History, founded in 1874, is the oldest scientific institution in southern California and the third oldest west of the Mississippi. With 8 million specimens, award-winning exhibitions, and educational programs, we have been studying, protecting, and bringing people closer to nature for almost 150 years.

    Paid parking is available in the lots around the museum: $5 to $8 for verified City of San Diego residents and $10 to $16 for non-residents, depending on the lot. The Inspiration Point lot on Park Blvd. connects to the heart of Balboa Park by free tram, and there is a lot next to the museum's east side. Valet parking is offered in the Plaza de Panama (not on Mondays). Parking for visitors with disabilities is on the east and west sides of the building.

Is there parking available?
Yes, paid parking is available. Depending on the lot, it costs $5 to $8 for verified City of San Diego residents and $10 to $16 for non-residents. The Inspiration Point lot (on the east side of Park Blvd., between Presidents Way and the Balboa Park Activity Center) gives easy access to the heart of Balboa Park via the free tram. There are also smaller lots throughout the park, including the lot next to the museum's east side and the south and north Carousel lots. Valet parking is offered in front of the House of Hospitality (and The Prado restaurant) in the Plaza de Panama: Tuesday to Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 5 PM to midnight, Saturday from 10 AM to midnight and Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM. There is no valet parking on Mondays. Parking for visitors with disabilities is available on the east and west sides of the building.
What are the different ticket types?
There are three zones: A, B and C. Zone A is closest to the stage.
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
No. Tickets are not available for purchase at the venue: all tickets must be bought through the Fever app or website before you arrive.
Can I book a ticket for my caretaker?
Guests who need assistance throughout the experience can apply for one free pass for their caretaker. You must hold a valid ticket before applying; once you have it, contact us for more information.
Is there an age requirement?
All guests must be 8 years old or older. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Where can I find my ticket?
You'll find your ticket in the “Tickets” section of the Fever app (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play). Remember to sign in with the same method you used to make the purchase. Your QR code is also in your purchase confirmation email.
Can I change my ticket?
Subject to availability, you can change the date and/or time up to 48 hours before the start of your experience. To do so, contact us with your ticket ID.
Are refunds allowed?
No refunds are allowed unless you bought a flexible cancellation ticket (see below). Exchanges to other dates and/or times are permitted up to 48 hours before the start of the original event, subject to availability. Contact us directly to change your ticket.
What is a flexible cancellation ticket?
Available for selected events, a flexible cancellation ticket lets you ask for a refund or exchange your ticket if you decide not to attend the experience.
When can I return my ticket?
You can cancel your flexible cancellation ticket by contacting us up to 48 hours before the experience starts. The ticket becomes non-refundable if it is transferred to another user.
What documents do I need to cancel my ticket?
None: no documentation is needed to claim your refund or exchange.
If I opt for a refund, how long does it take and how will I receive it?
If you paid by credit card or PayPal, the full ticket price is credited back to your account; it may take 10 or more days to appear on your statement. If you paid with a voucher, you'll find a new voucher in the “Vouchers” section of the app. This voucher is different from your Fever Club Wallet.
Will I get a full refund?
You'll be refunded the full ticket price, except for the 10% fee paid for the flexible ticket option.
If I opt for an exchange, when will I receive the new ticket?
You'll receive a voucher for the same value as your purchase as soon as you request it. You can use it to book a new date and/or time for the same experience.
Can I exchange my ticket for a different experience?
No. An exchange voucher can only be used to purchase the same experience again.
How do I request my refund?
Contact us to get your ticket refunded.
Where is the experience taking place?
At the San Diego Natural History Museum, 1788 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101.
When should I arrive?
The concert lasts 1 hour. Doors open 45 minutes before the start time on your ticket, and we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before it starts. The performance starts promptly and doors close once it begins: no late entry is permitted under any circumstances. You can look around the museum exhibits while the doors are open, but not after the performance.
Can I leave the concert room during the performance?
Yes, you can leave to use the restroom. Out of respect for the musicians and the audience, you'll be let back into the concert space during the breaks between songs, to keep disruptions to a minimum.
How do I get to the venue?
Driving or rideshare is recommended.
Are food and drinks served?
Yes, food and drinks are available for purchase on site at the museum.
Can I bring animals?
Animals are not allowed, except for service animals. Please contact us if you plan to bring a service animal.
Is the venue accessible?

What is the policy for Candle 3-Packs purchased online?
Candle 3-Packs bought online must be collected at the designated point at the venue at the time of your event. As they are tied to a specific Candlelight event date and location, they are non-refundable and non-returnable: all sales are final.
Are the candles real? Are they flammable?
For everyone's safety, the candles are LED: they recreate the glow of a flame without real fire, so they don't burn and pose no risk.
Can I take photos or record videos? Can I use my phone during the performance?
Please keep your phone on silent throughout the performance. Photos and videos are only allowed when the musicians say so, and always without flash.
Is there a dress code? What should I wear?
There is no dress code. We recommend dressing comfortably, in clothes suited to the season.
How are seats assigned? Can we sit together?
Seats are not numbered: they are assigned on arrival, first come first served, within the zone you purchased. To sit together, your whole group needs to arrive at the same time with tickets for the same zone.
