Description

An-Ting is the one-to-watch in the world of composing. ─Notion

Classy Taiwanese electronica. ─The Slow Music Movement

An-Ting took field recordings of birdsong and mixed them with dark experimental electronic music with droning soundscapes and hard beats. In their live audio-visual performance, Ian Gallagher uses cutting-edge AI technology to document the duo’s ideas and mind-bending experiences with live audio-reactive visuals, reacting in real-time to An-Ting’s music. An-Ting An-Ting 安婷 is a versatile artist who thrives in piano, electronic compositions, and various other forms of artistic expression. Drawing from her life experiences, she weaves diverse encounters into her creations, blending music with other art forms to delve into the depths of the human experience.

Oūyā

Also supporting the night is the audiovisual performance trio oūyā, who bring new energy to the blend of experimental electronics and Chinese instrumental music. Oūyā is comprised of Yewen Jin, a multidisciplinary artist creating hypnotic soundscapes layered with disintegrated rhythms; Julia Dèng Hànzú, a post-disciplinary musician who plays pipa and guzheng with experimental techniques and electronics; and Sunni (Yu Hsuan Liao), a visual artist exploring the precision and aesthetics of audio-visual art.

The Light Surgeons

Opening the night, renowned UK audiovisual artists The Light Surgeons bring their live cinema work "Atemporal 2.0"—a poetic audiovisual concert created in memory of John Berger. This dynamic performance blends original musical compositions with stunning video artworks by Tim Cowie and Christopher Thomas Allen. Together, these works create a profound exploration of time, memory, and the human condition, setting the stage for a thought-provoking and sensory-rich experience.
