"Many years ago, a terrible virus ravaged the fields of our region, leaving numerous deaths in its strangely deadly wake. The Balaguer family, a middle-class household living in a small cottage nearby, became disturbed and blinded by fear. They isolated themselves to protect their young daughter Aurora from any harm. Their obsession with keeping out anything or anyone who might bring the curse into their home grew extreme; some said it was the plague, while villagers whispered that the Balaguers' house contained a portal to the world of the dead, as many people simply vanished. To this day, no one dares to enter. Some say the family remains inside, feeding on lost souls."
