About the Artists
Chucho Valdés & Irakere 50: Chucho Valdés pays tribute to the emblematic group Irakere, celebrating 50 years of influence on Latin jazz. With a masterful fusion of Afro-Cuban ritual music, Cuban popular music, jazz, rock and classical music, Irakere marked a before and after in jazz. At Pirineos Sur 2024, Chucho Valdés will lead a tour that will revive Irakere's legacy, showcasing his mastery and creativity in an unforgettable musical celebration.

Goxua ́n Salsa: A Colombian-Navarran group that fuses classic salsa with reinterprations in Basque and Spanish. Their first album, released this year, is inspired by the music of New York, Colombia and Puerto Rico from the 60s, 70s and 80s. At Pirineos Sur 2024, their live performances promise to be a unique experience, offering an innovative and energetic fusion that stands out for its creativity and freshness, bringing a new dimension to the salsa genre.
